Office of Creative service develops app for Griffin

The William and Mary Office of Creative Services has developed a mobile application called “Dress the Griffin.” Featuring a large image of the griffin as a blank canvas, the application gives users hundreds of outfit combinations to choose from. Users can either choose themed ensembles, or pick an outfit from over 100 individual pieces of clothing, from hats to shoes.  Once the outfit is created, it is possible to share the creation through Facebook or Twitter. Plans for the application have been in the works since a year ago, when the Creative Services team met to decide what kind of application should be developed.  While there are no plans to actually dress the griffin, it is now possible to digitally bedeck the feathered mascot.
