Tribal Fever’s Summer Tribe Sports To-Do List

I know it is scary this time of year (especially for the seniors in the crowd) to look ahead to a time after the turmoil and stress of final exams, but before we know it, summer will be upon us. While we are off enjoying our summer adventures, Tribe sports take a brief respite as well. However, although there are not games going on, there are still lots of ways to stay involved with Tribe Athletics! For all you anxious William and Mary sports fans out there, here are some ways to stay up to date over the summer months.

First, stay active on the web. Tribe Athletics has a plethora of options for staying connected on the internet, from tribeathletics.com to their social media pages on Facebook, Twitter, and even a Youtube channel. Tribal Fever’s site (http://thetribalfever.com/) is a great resource as well, and we will make sure to keep the updates coming even while we are not in school. Also, the CAA Boards at the online CAA Zone are a great way to hear the latest scoop on Tribe speculation from some of our biggest boosters, as well as interact personally with other dedicated Tribe fans.

Second, plan for the fall. I am sure many of you remember how much fun that first UVA trip was in fall 2009, when we opened our season in Charlottesville with a stunning upset. Well, guess who is the first team on our 2009 schedule? That’s right, our old friends the Virginia Cavaliers. We also plan on traveling down to Richmond football for our annual Beat Richmond week, as long as lots of other great events. Also, our Men’s Soccer team, which was ranked as high as #13 in the country last season and lost in the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Championships, will be looking to build on its success from last season and maintain our strong program of recent years.

The summer is our primary time away from William and Mary for most of us, but there is no reason to leave the school and its athletic programs behind entirely. Keep an eye on the Tribe via the Internet, and get ready for another exciting fall season of Tribe sports. From the Virginia Informer and Tribal Fever, enjoy your summer, and we will be seeing you in Charlottesville this fall!
